Are you about to run out of hair conditioner? Instead of going to the store to buy more, try making your own. Here’s a small batch recipe to test. Make twice as much next time if you decide that you like soft, coconut-scented hair!
- 2 Tbsp Shea butter
- 1 Tbsp Coconut oil
- 1 tsp Aloe vera
- 1 tsp Avocado oil
Puree all ingredients together in a mixer or food processor, and scrape it out into a jar. (Or recycle your old conditioner bottle.)
Your hair will be happier when it’s free of split ends. Plus, it’s MUCH faster than driving to the store.
A little goes a long way, so I let it sit on the ends of my hair and then wash it out. If you have fine hair like I do, you may reverse the order and condition first, then shampoo.
