Crochet A Bowl

crochet bowl

After you come home from a baby shower, you discover precisely how a Baby’s R Us would look if it were stuffed into a cannon and shot into your house. It’s amazing just how much space all the cute stuff requires. Even things like itty bitty socks can be a challenge to keep track of.

If she is anything like her Dad, I know her little tiny socks will end up dispersed throughout the house, and some will inevitably be lost. I am counting on this being the case, but I still have to try to be a little organized in the beginning. (Her socks will also never match, unless by overcoming odds comparable to winning the lottery, a matching pair just happens to land on her feet).

I needed a crochet bowl to hold all the teeny socks that was small enough to fit in a drawer, and flexible enough to take the shape of wherever we end up squeezing it.

The cute pink yarn was a little too thin to give the bowl enough structure to hold its shape, but it works well as an accent in combination with sturdier 4.5 mm yarns.

It fits! I know we may end up moving it elsewhere as we get the space organized, but the squishiness factor of the bowl will make it a lot more versatile.
